Some of our students will be invited to represent City South in the District Athletics on Tuesday 27th September. Another amazing achievement was that our school was awarded third place overall in the City South District.
I would like to thank Meg Wright and Renae Simmons who came along to support our students and marshalled Shot Put and to the parents who popped in and out throughout the day. It was an amazing effort from everyone.
Jump Rope for Heart
Jump Rope for Heart Jump Off day was on Tuesday 16th August. The afternoon was such a success. All students participated and met their skipping goals. Julie and her daughters Jade and Asha Wilson came along from Parkside Primary School and demonstrated some skipping tricks at the beginning of the jump off day to a very eager audience. The music played and everyone joined in. Students who raised sponsorship money need to now return their booklets or go on line to finalise payment so I can tally what we have raised. Already, just on line we have raised over $4,000, this is not including the sponsorship booklets. We also have a web page that you can visit and put in your donations at www.heartfoundation.org.au A Jump Off Skipping exhibition by Parkside Primary School will be held on Wednesday 7th September at 11.30am. I will be announcing the final amount we raised then. Stay tuned and again a big thank you for supporting this fund raising initiative.
