SAPSASA and PE Update Term 2 Week 9

 Sapsasa Boys Knockout Soccer

Congratulations to Daniel T, Harry K, Nicholas W, James T, Ethan S, Billy E, Charlie F, Jasper L, Callum S, Sean D-W, Charlie W, Oscar C, Maxwell E and Ethan B who played their knockout soccer game against Cabra Dominican College at Cabra on Wednesday 21st June. The final scores were 5-1 Cabra’s advantage. A big thank you to Charlie Tsecagias who coached the team.

Sapsasa Girls Knockout Football

Our Sapsasa Girls football team, Jessica C, Ebony V, Sophie A, Gracie T, Chantilly J, Ariana T, Ruby Z, Charlotte O, Tyzana B, Sammy B, Paige M, Demi K, Abby K, Eliana F, Evelyn C, Jasmin E, Lily R, Stella M, Georgia L and Amelia K have played against Plympton Primary school on Friday 2nd June and Artdtornish Primary School on Friday 23rd June, winning both games. They are now preparing for the semi-final which will be played on or before the 25th August. The opponent team is still to be determined. Wednesday practise sessions will continue at lunch time with Mr Bennallack.

Sapsasa Girls Knockout Netball

On Wednesday 14th June the Sapsasa Girls Netball team played Westbourne Park Primary School. The final scores were 36-19. Colonel Light Gardens Primary School won. Congratulations to the team, Abby K, Courtney W, Demi K, Jessica C, Chantilly J, Kiana M, Ruby Z, Jasmin E, Emma S, Sammy B and Paige M who will now be playing Unity College at Murray Bridge on Friday 30th June.

 

Sapsasa District Netball and Football

Jessica C, Kiana M (Division 1) and Ruby Z, Paige M and Courtney W (Division 4) played for the Sapsasa City South District Netball team from 5th June to the 9th June at SA Netball Stadium. Both teams came 4th overall.

Mitchell O played for the Sapsasa City South District Football team from 5th June to the 9th June at Barratt Reserve. His team came 7th overall.

Sapsasa Orienteering trials

The Sapsasa Orienteering Teams are meeting weekly with Des Norman on Thursdays at lunch time in readiness for the Relay Championships on Friday 11th August at the South East Parklands. Final selection of the teams will be finalised Week 1 of Term 3 in readiness for the championships. Sapsasa District Soccer and Hockey Trials

Congratulations to Charlie Fox who has been selected to represent the Sapsasa City South District Soccer and to Isobell D, Ashleigh S and Georgina W who have been selected to represent Sapsasa Southern Heights and City South District Hockey. These students are playing two games a day at Barratt Reserve (soccer) and Grange Reserve (Hockey) from 26th June to the 30th June. Results will be posted in the next newsletter.

Sapsasa District Cross Country

The Sapsasa City South District Cross Country team went to Oakbank and ran for our district. Congratulations to Oscar C who received a Gold Medal, Lucas E- Silver medal, Max B – Silver medal, Ned B, Samuel A, Marielle B, Paige M, Abby K and Giselle D all achieved their personal best. A great effort from everyone.

Sapsasa District Athletics Trial selection

On Friday 2nd June all of the students who were born 2007, 2006, 2005, 2004 and 2003 came out to trial in the following events. 100m, 200m, 800m, Shotput, Discus, Long Jump and High Jump. As you can appreciate there are a few extra trials that need to be run this week  including 2007 Girls High Jump. The final list is being drawn up this week. Practise sessions for all of the events will be posted once the team has been selected enabling all students to be well prepared for the Combined Athletics Carnival on Wednesday 23rd August.
